Falling for Autumn

So this week I'm changing it up a bit from the Origins posts which will return next week. It is almost September and for my wife and I that means preparing for Autumn. Fall is our favorite of the four seasons so the hype is very real at the Nunn home. Adding to this factor is that my wife's favorite holiday Halloween is on the horizon. We've already planned spooky movies each week in September and October. Our house decor has already begun the shift as well. Pumpkins, skeletons, and anything in orange or black have been placed throughout.
Don't get me wrong it is still very warm temperatures outside, and many will argue we are jumping a bit early. We just can't help our excitement however. Summer whilst I do find things I love about it, is my least favorite season. I prefer the cool breezy days,, the orange and red leaves, the peaceful calm afternoons that come with fall. When returning home from the store recently we spotted the first changing leaves in a tree near our home. The event was so exciting for us that we had to drive back through to see it. Ever since we've been all aboard the autumn crazy train.
One of my absolute favorite things about fall is the foods and flavors. I may be a basic white man, but I love my Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I am not much a coffee drinker but when PSL hits stores I always buy tons of it. Speaking of pumpkin flavored things let's not forget the traditional pumpkin pie, a delicious staple of fall. The season also has plenty other tasty offerings however with wonderful apple dishes, lots of caramel flavors, and trust me when I say I can and will do a whole blog about Thanksgiving food.
To round out my rant this week about my favorite time of the year I'm going to leave a list below of some of my favorite fall things. I also challenge you my readers to leave a like and comment telling me your favorite fall things or even if you have a different favorite season shout it out below. Thanks all for reading and remember you can always escape into the pages!
