It's back the infamous short posts about my youth and the road that led me to now. So last week we touched briefly on my time in a small country town. Much of my life and growing up was learned here. So this will be the second origins touching on living there.
Among my newly made friends was Jordan. His dad was a deacon at the church and he lived just up the road from us, so it didn't take long for the friendship to begin. Jordan is where I attribute much of my movie knowledge and tastes too. He introduced me to many movies and cinematic films that I hadn't even heard of or seen. I still remember sleepover movie marathons for films like old school Bond movies, or Christopher Nolan's The Prestige. Jordan was very smart and our friendship helped to broaden some of my horizons and culture. We also had a blast getting to go to Michigan on a church trip with our dad's and some other church members.
Our friendship was a cherished one. So much so that he happened upon a 2006 contract we had drafted up to renew our friendship from the council of best friends. Even if its on notebook paper it's still valid right?
I made many unforgettable memories and friends here and growing up in church instilled in me strong moral values and believes that I hold to even today as a christian. In school I made several good friends such as Evan, Zack, and Brandon or Birdo as he's nicknamed. We were definitely the nerdier bunch but it was my kinda crew. I still remember Evan quoting lines from Drake and Josh, Zack's bit where he made a goofy face and adjusted an invisible tie, and my own comedic ability to create a persona and screeching noise known to my friends as Raptor-man. As my final year in middle school came to a close so did my time here in this town. I said goodbye to many friends as life took us to a new place where I would enter the cruel unforgiving world called High School.
